Dr. Diedrick (nee: Doremus) is a graduate of Cleveland State University, where she received both her master's and doctoral degrees in psychology. She completed her health psychology fellowship at Akron General Medical Center and also completed a predoctoral internship in forensic psychology. She was a psychiatric social worker and psychology assistant for many years at the Cleveland Municipal Court Psychiatric Clinic and also served as an assessment consultant for a private psychology practice. Dr. Diedrick also worked as a psychologist for the State of Ohio providing therapy, psychological testing, and forensic evaluation services in an inpatient setting. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Cleveland State University. Dr. Diedrick has presented extensively on issues ranging from food addiction to school behaviors to forensic practices. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Diedrick has almost 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and has been in private practice providing individual therapy to adults since 2014. Her specialty areas include forensic evaluation (both civil and criminal), psychological testing and individual therapy for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-based disorders, personality disorders, and life stress. Dr. Diedrick also has specialized training Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) from the EMDR Institute, Inc. which is used to facilitate trauma processing.
